Married to God – David introduces us to how the Holy Spirit uses symbols, such as rings on our fingers, temporary representations, not an actuality. And these symbols direct our attention, but the Love is what’s important. In this gathering, we also explore guilt that is associated with behaviors, as part of the unholy trinity: guilt, anger, and fear. David reminds us that it is not helpful to try to bring the light into the projected world. It doesn’t work that way; we have to bring the thoughts and beliefs in our mind into the light within, and then they disappear.
Release from Fear – In this gathering, David walks us through fear, lack, and needs. It seems in this world, money is a source of life, and we are sustained by it. He shares about unwinding from these concerns by following the loving heart by asking: how would love spend money? When we identify with the body, attached, attracted, or repulsed, there is a lot of fear. David invites us to relax, to trust and have faith that everything will come and show us we are beyond this world. We have never lived in this world for one second. We don’t get out of something that’s real; We see that it was unreal and stop taking anything seriously.
Paradise Is a State of Mind – In this retreat, David and friends share the awakening experience of being in alignment with God, with practical examples. They talk about how the world was made by the ego as a distraction from the Spirit, and how to unplug from the concepts of the world and become free of burdens in the mind. Lightheartedness and freedom are not dependent on circumstances or things being a certain way in the world.
Accepting Holy Spirit’s Means of Success – In this gathering, David shares a humorous dialog with Jesus and explains how he was spoken to and then spoken through by Jesus. David invites us to live as if there is no world and trust our intuition and merge with Spirit. Many topics are covered in the Q&A session, including the forgiveness story with his dad and origins of the Course.
Who You Are Is Happiness – In this retreat, David Hoffmeister shares parables and practical examples of a deep inward journey. While searching for happiness in form will inevitably lead to disappointment, David shares that you will become so competent in the presence of the Holy Spirit that you will no longer feel you are in this world, that you will have a big smile in your mind with everything, and that is the point of everything, to be happy, to find true happiness.
