Who or What Is the Holy Spirit? – In this session, David shares insights about the nature and purpose of the Holy Spirit and why it is the greatest gift God gave us.
Everything you perceive is in your mind, but your perception is distorted. It’s like this cosmos is like a giant, cracked mirror that shattered into trillions and trillions of pieces. In this shattered mirror there is no sense of harmony, no sense of lasting harmony. All symbols you perceive seem to only reflect fragmentation. In The Matrix, Neo meets his teacher Morpheus and takes the red pill to learn the truth; he encounters a cracked mirror and reaches over to touch it with a sense of curiosity, and the mirror becomes whole; all the cracks vanish. This is a symbol of healing perception and that is what this path is all about: allowing the Spirit to heal your perception and see everything wholly and holy! See that there never was a crack in the mirror at all!
In this radical episode David Hoffmeister extends the message that, if you judge the world or yourself, you are not seeing with unified perception. In this case, you need to admit that your mind and therefore, the world, is cracked! Feeling guilty comes from this perceptual problem of duality; the belief that there is an inner and outer. The purpose of the Workbook of A Course in Miracles is to train your mind to see that this is not so.
The Holy Spirit uses time to teach us that there is no time. This is a real experience that can only be pointed to in the present moment. Will you jump aboard?
Allow yourself to drop into the depth of this talk and see that the unbounded Presence of Love is everything. David Hoffmeister and Lisa Cairns talk about the laughable ways the human mind tries to make “something” out of every occurence in life and place meaning on it; it values certain experiences over others. And yet, you are Present Love and that is the only real occurance ever happening. Nothing more, and nothing less. Let your ‘self’ drop. Love is in every moment; you can stop the search. You are It.
