Let your sleeping mind be reminded of the very important awareness that you are complete and healed and whole, and let nothing convince you otherwise. If you reacting to a situation in the world by feeling upset, you are reacting to something that is already over and gone. Only false interpretation is upsetting, and you have the power to accept the Holy Spirit’s interpretation of the world instead.
How can you let guidance show the way in everything you do? Marriage can be helpful if it is Spirit-given with a strong purpose for healing. It is not about clinging to a spiritual concept, but about allowing the Holy Spirit to lead you from constricting concepts into more expansive ones for the undoing of the ego.
David Hoffmeister shares about the key moment in his life where he surrendered fully to God, and how the 28 years since have been an adventure of a lifetime. Other topics explored in this talk include forgiveness, shame in association with the body, and answering a question about whether God made the world or not.
What is truly helpful? What can you really give? An unhealed healer is trying to give what he has not received. The alertness of the ego to the errors of other egos is not the kind of vigilance the Holy Spirit would have you maintain. The mind that perceives a problem in the world outside itself is in need of healing. The sole function of a teacher of God is to accept the Atonement for himself. The healed mind thus can share the healed perception and Christ’s Vision.
The spiritual journey demystified: Life can be full of mysticism and miracles, if you only let yourself be guided by the Spirit, step back, and receive every step when it is given. As you start to flow with the Spirit, your life will take on a fairytale-like quality. “A healed mind is relieved of the belief that it must plan.” “If there are plans to make, you will be told of them.” W-135
