Finding a Life of Freedom

Finding a Life of Freedom

The Spirit’s purpose for this life is for freedom, to wake up from the dream of the world, not to attain and achieve. The ego’s use of the body, of family and education, is for reinforcing a personal separate identity. But you are Spirit and must unlearn everything the ego has taught you. Your only responsibility is accepting the correction. It is not about dropping worldly responsibilities, but having them all handed to Spirit who would address them through a path of miracles. David says the Course can be summed up in the Serenity Prayer, recognizing what you can and cannot control and the wisdom to know the difference. What you can control is your state of mind. What you cannot control is the world, and everything associated with the world. Have gratitude and appreciation for everybody, because they are helping you to forgive.

The Cure for Pain and Suffering

The Cure for Pain and Suffering

What is the cure for pain and suffering? How do you deal with sickness on this path to Awakening? In this audio, David Hoffmeister answers an email (read by Sarah) from a friend who’s seeking help with this topic. David’s answer offers a permanent cure for pain and suffering, rather than just a temporary relief from distress. This is an amazing reply full of clarity, true empathy, and real Love.

How Should I See Myself and Others?

How Should I See Myself and Others?

Let your sleeping mind be reminded of the very important awareness that you are complete and healed and whole, and let nothing convince you otherwise. If you reacting to a situation in the world by feeling upset, you are reacting to something that is already over and gone. Only false interpretation is upsetting, and you have the power to accept the Holy Spirit’s interpretation of the world instead.
