Modern Mysticism | Accepting Correction, Communication, Danville Kentucky, Dedication and Devotion, Discernment, Dismantling, Divine Order, Face of Innocence, Guidance, Healing, Leap of Faith, Presence, Salvation, Self-Concepts, Series God Is the Strength in Which I Trust Gathering
The goal of the spiritual path is mysticism, which could be described as the gateway to Enlightenment or to the real world. Enlightenment is when the mind has been emptied of all concepts and beliefs, leaving only the pure experience of your Christ-Self in union with God. As you sink deeper into mysticism the ego’s voice will get louder and more vicious, throwing up lots of future fear-thoughts to keep your mind from continuing its journey into stillness. The ego has no existence in the stillness of Christ, and so all fear is really the ego’s fear of nonexistence. For this reason, trusting the Holy Spirit is key and will guide you through the layers of ego resistance again and again, until the ego has been released from the mind entirely. Go for God 100%.

This world is a distraction that was made to keep you mindless. As you start to pull away from these distractions it will seem that your life gets more tumultuous. The top tier of your self-concept, or “face of innocence,” (T-31.V.2:6) was made to prevent you from looking upon a self that you believe is draped with sin. As you join with your mighty companions and have the willingness and courage to look at this dark and hidden self, you approach what is underneath and what you are in truth: pure blazing light!

What is truly helpful? What can you really give? An unhealed healer is trying to give what he has not received. The alertness of the ego to the errors of other egos is not the kind of vigilance the Holy Spirit would have you maintain. The mind that perceives a problem in the world outside itself is in need of healing. The sole function of a teacher of God is to accept the Atonement for himself. The healed mind thus can share the healed perception and Christ’s Vision.
