How to Speed up Spiritual Awakening – David Hoffmeister shares practical experiences of living focused and purposeful lives of total devotion to the Spirit. He answers questions about the ego, regarding forgiveness, discerning the guidance of the Holy Spirit, the experience of listening to and following Jesus, and choosing in mind instead of attempting to manifest in form and create the future. The talk was a call to be clear on the purpose that leads to true freedom and awakening from the dream of the world.
Our only way out of this nightmare of our own making is to start deciding with the Holy Spirit. His view is from beyond space and time so a very powerful prayer becomes: Holy Spirit decide for God for me. Jesus’ sole purpose of A Course in Miracles is to help put us in touch with this internal Guide so that we are no longer deceived by who is guiding us from moment to moment. David uses a variety of examples and metaphors to make the point that everything is digital and everything is consciousness, even though the ego uses substitutions and compromises to maintain guilt. We need to focus on accepting the Solution and not attempt to fix external “problems.”
A Course in Miracles is a direct pathway back to God that teaches us how to forgive. The goal of ACIM is not about making a better life in the world, but about letting the world as we perceive it fall apart. This necessarily involves letting go of control, and as we pray to be shown the world through the light of the Holy Spirit, it becomes easier and easier. Peace becomes our natural experience. We experience miracles. And we become peaceful demonstrations of the love of Christ.
In this talk, David makes the profound connection that if we are valuing anything in this world we are actually choosing hatred over love. In truth, there is no difference between the things that bring us pleasure and the things that cause us pain. There is an unconscious fear in the mind that we are in competition with God. Enjoy these deep and uncompromising messages from David that will help accelerate your awakening if you choose.
In your complete willingness to forget the things you think you need, Heaven can finally be remembered. True prayer is described by Jesus in The Song of Prayer as having many levels, like rungs on a ladder, which lead from the early forms of praying for specifics to more advanced forms of prayer. The highest form of prayer is what Jesus calls “true prayer,” which involves a total willingness to “forget the things you think you need.” S-1.I.4:1 For, “You have sought first the Kingdom of Heaven, and all else has indeed been given you.” S-1.I.3:6 Pray only to serve God’s Will.
