“In this world of time and space, we have a very interesting phrase called ‘killing time.’ ‘Let’s go out and kill some time.’ That shows you right there that it’s crazy. But just as crazy as ‘killing time’ is ‘spending time.’ ‘Let’s spend some time together.’ Again it’s the currency. The ego’s saying, ‘Let’s spend some time separate but together.’ So it’s very tricky.
I had a singer/songwriter who traveled with me very early in the parable of David, and she received a song from the angels, and it was the same thing, ‘Put me back on the strings.’ That was her prayer to the Holy Spirit, and it’s just another way of saying, Use me. While I believe I’m a body, then let’s put the body to a good use. And Jesus says the one good use is communication. So this is good news. When we think about expression sessions, it’s a very high use of the body for being transparent, for expressing, exposing, and letting go of the thoughts that seem to bring about guilt. Because it’s just the thoughts of guilt that are the problem, and they are not our real thoughts. They are not the thoughts that we think with God. They are an attempt to think apart from God, and their goal is to be apart from God, to be something other than the ‘I Am’ Presence.
So, even when you put a name after ‘I Am,’ that’s just like the puppet claiming identity. Even when we greet someone with a name, and they respond, they greet us with a name in the most simple conversation, that still reinforces the separation. And you want to give the words over to the Holy Spirit only to heal and to bless. Not to correct a brother, not to confound a brother, but just to offer a blessing to a brother. And this seems to take some training because we have learned many other things other than just a blessing. We have covered over a blessing with a very complicated scheme of existing in this world.”
