David invites us to see that even though the ego has created the cosmos and everything in it, the Holy Spirit can use all this as symbols for His purpose. Even our interpersonal relationships can—if we have the purpose of forgiveness at the forefront—be used to come back to that still place of holiness in our mind.
Gold Nugget:
“Your mind believed in this hologram. You believed in this personality-self. You really are quite convinced that you’re a person. You know, it’s not like you’re slightly convinced; you are heavily convinced and heavily addicted to this persona. Even though the Greek, you know, when you talk about the Latin word for ‘persona,’ it’s ‘mask.’ So now the mask is not just a mask; it’s an identity. There’s so much investment, educating that mask, shaping that mask, building the success of that mask. You know, everything that we were conditioned with was about, you know, they didn’t tell us they didn’t say it was about making a better mask, but making a healthy, living, striving, surviving mask is really what it would be from the perspective of the mind, where the whole mask is just a hologram.
There’s not even a time where spirit enters into matter. There is no time, you know. People try to say reincarnation is that there’s a soul that’s in the body. But no, this is a hologram. And this hologram never had a soul in it. You can’t put spirit inside matter. It’s too dense, and spirit is so high, is such a high vibration. You can never put such a high vibration into such a low, dense, slowly vibrating thing as the body or matter. So, at one point you start to realize, you know, when you have these vast experiences that contradict everything that you’ve ever believed in everything that you’ve ever perceived, everything that you’ve ever thought about. That’s why it’s so shocking. Like, Helene was saying it’s absolutely horrifying to the ego. Because the spiritual experience basically undoes the ego. He just shows you a glimpse of this complete nothingness of the ego. It wasn’t created by God; it doesn’t even have an existence. That mask, it may have been something you seem to put a lot of energy in, but it actually is like Shakespeare said, ‘much ado about nothing.'”
